A few days ago, a number of indications appeared on the Internet indicating that we will see the release of an updated version of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO Source 2). In the end, it seems that we are waiting for not just a significant update, but a full-fledged sequel to the famous Counter-Strike shooter. There are currently many indications that Counter-Strike 2 could be released. As PCGamesN editor Ed Smith points out, last week Valve made a number of changes to the Steam CSGO archives, where executable files with the name “CS2” appeared. However, that was not all, there were even changes in the beta version of CSGO.
However, according to Smith, Valve did more than just that. He also registered that Valve Corporation trademarked “CS2”, which has similar features to Counter-Strike and CSGO. They are associated with this project through serial numbers and intellectual property in general. Thus, Counter-Strike 2 may be closer than we think. In addition, as is usually the case with Valve, she easily knows how to announce projects and launch them, so it is possible that in a few months fans of the clash of terrorists and special forces will see Counter-Strike 2 instead of something half-baked. However, what will be a reality, the next weeks will show.
