It can be expected that the more powerful model will also have an Xbox.

THE NEW GENERATION HAS ENOUGH TIME

Of course, Sony is also planning a new generation of PlayStation. PS6 we should not expect it until 2028. On the other hand, some Activision Blizzard acquisition documents recently filed with the CMA talk about a 2027 launch.

Henderson has long stated that Sony will release this year new PlayStation 5 model with removable Blu-ray drive. This model should gradually replace the current two models: with mechanics and purely digital edition. Focusing on one version will speed up production, which will also be cheaper.

QUICK PS5 UPDATE

After a recent major update to version 7.00, the PS5 system received a minor update labeled 7.01. It has 1.142 GB and improves system performance. This is Sony’s standard explanation for these kinds of console system updates.

Firmware 7.01 doesn’t seem to bring any major changes and is really only focused on improving the console’s stability, fixing minor bugs, and general optimization improvements.
