We have known about the game based on the famous Belgian comic book author and illustrator Hergé for a long time. The game was officially unveiled last fall, but for now, we’ve only been able to see actual footage, including gameplay cutscenes. The game appeals to the faithfulness of the comic book in terms of both the story and visual aspects, as well as the investigative adventure gameplay.
Full title Tintin Reporter: Pharaoh’s Cigars from a French publisher microids and research Pendulum based on a comic strip in Czech known as Pharaoh cigars. The story takes a young reporter and his dog Filuta to Egypt, where they try to uncover the secrets of the tomb of Pharaoh Semtam-Chaos (Kih-Oskhe in the original). They then travel to India to uncover an international drug smuggling ring. Other characters familiar to readers will not be missing, such as a couple of sleazy detectives Kadlez and Tkadlec or Professor Philemon Silicon, the Sarcophagus, if you will.
“The game features every aspect of the world of Tintin and a story full of twists and turns that is part of Hergé’s great creative legacy. It will drag you into the heart of mysterious Egypt and other extraordinarily beautiful countries,” the authors write.
In terms of gameplay, we’re looking forward to an adventure game with puzzles and mechanics typical of detective games, but we won’t miss out on more action-packed playthroughs. We will search for clues, infiltrate enemy territories or conduct investigative dialogues. The game is scheduled for this year and come to PC, Nintendo Switch and both generations of consoles Game console And Xbox.
