The historical soundtrack to the film Kingdom Come, written by Jan Walta and Adam Sporka, was recorded at the Prague Rudolfinum and contains many songs, from pub songs to majestic orchestral compositions and Gregorian chants. Over 5 hours of music often adaptively accompany the player. Individual tracks are divided into segments that can seamlessly transition to several different “tracks”. In practice, this means that the game reacts dynamically to things like the situation in combat, the player’s reputation in certain locations, or even changes in time of day and weather.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a medieval first-person role-playing game from Warhorse Studios, founded by gaming industry veterans Daniel Vavra and Martin Klima. Despite a rocky start when, among other things, Warhorse received financial backing from a highly successful crowdfunding campaign, the game saw the light of day in 2018. Positive feedback from reviewers and a vibrant player community was not long in coming, as were a number of awards such as Game of the Year at Gamescom or Best Game Design at Czech Game of the Year. Studio Warhorse recently celebrated the milestone of 5 million copies sold.
