Happening Sony vs Microsoft hit a new low. PlayStation continues to fight furiously to stop Microsoft from acquiring Activision Blizzard for nearly $69 billion. But now it seems that Sony is deliberately not telling the truth to the British authorities.
This follows the posting of yet another round of responses from Microsoft and Sony regarding publisher Call of Duty’s merger with Xbox. In him Sony says Microsoft didn’t try to discuss details of 10-year deal, which will keep Call of Duty safe on PlayStation consoles for 10 years. A similar agreement was signed by Nvidia and Nintendo.
“They dragged out negotiations, only got into a fight when they felt the prospects for approval were getting worse, and they preferred to deal with the media rather than involving SIE (Sony).” Let’s read the docs. At the same time, the head of Microsoft and Bobby Kotick, the head of Activision Blizzard, for a long time they claim that Sony refuses to deal with them and does not pick up the phone.
IN CALL OF DUTY ON PLAYSTATION NOISY?
Sony even suggests that Microsoft may release the PlayStation version of Call of Duty with bugs that could cause gamers to lose confidence in PlayStation as a place to play Call of Duty.. Such bugs and problems could appear, for example, only in the last level of the game, or in later updates of the game, which would be more difficult to detect. In addition, the fix may not happen immediately, and it will cause irreparable damage to the reputation of the PlayStation.
So Sony warns the CMA about possible sabotage. That Microsoft may intentionally create bugs to hurt competitors. According to Sony, this is one of the ways to harm competitors.
As absurd as it is, this would be a violation of the agreement that Sony still refuses to sign. In the agreement, Microsoft is committed to releasing Call of Duty on the PlayStation for 10 years with the same content, quality and features as on other platforms..

Sony claims that if Microsoft had not kept its obligation (the same Call of Duty on the PlayStation or would not have released the game on Sony consoles at all), then it would he probably only risked a fine. It will still be considered in court, and this would mean paying a fine after many years.
“Even if Microsoft had acted in good faith, it would have been motivated to support and prioritize the development of the Xbox version of the game., for example, using their best engineers and more resources. There would be no practical way for the CMA (or SIE) to keep track of how Microsoft decides to allocate its resources and the quality/quantity of engineers it dedicates to the PlayStation version of Call of Duty to ensure SIE is treated fairly and equally.” Sony warns.

SONY DOESN’T WANT CALL OF DUTY TO BE SUBSCRIBED
Microsoft offered Sony the opportunity to release future parts of Call of Duty on a subscription basis PlayStation Plus on the day of issue. Games will continue to be published in Xbox and PC Game Passwhen Microsoft buys Activision.
According to Sony, the offer is not as tempting as it sounds. According to Sony, this way Microsoft will have more leverage to manipulate the price of Call of Duty on the PlayStation based on license fees. They say it might break the commercial subscription model.
For example, Microsoft could raise the price that Call of Duty can be on PS Plus, forcing Sony to raise the price for players or pull out of the deal. And this, in turn, will mean that Call of Duty will be only on Game Pass, which will lead to the dominance of this service in the future.
In other words, Sony doesn’t want Call of Duty on PS Plus, but it doesn’t want Call of Duty to be just a Game Pass either. Isn’t this called a vicious circle?
The Windows Central editors offer another option. Sony may be concerned that the inclusion of Call of Duty in PS Plus jeopardized sales of the gamewho subscribes to the commissions that Sony receives from every purchase of PS5 and PS4 games.
Microsoft also stated in responses that There will be no increase in the cost of Game Pass as a result of the merger with Activision Blizzard. Raising the price would be counterproductive as it would increase customer churn. Even after adding games from Bethesda, there was no price increase.
SONY INTENTIONALLY LIES?
There are opinions that Sony is deliberately lying and trying to influence the British authorities, because the Japanese company does not risk it. Only in the case of a trial with the American FTC, where all the facts will be resolved without further ado.
In the European Union, probably, nothing of the kind will happen. Recent reports point to a deal being approved at the end of April. Officials in Europe are said to be pleased that Call of Duty will be released on Nintendo for at least a decade and supported by Nvidia’s GeForce Now cloud service.. With these two news, Call of Duty is expected to reach another 150 million units. And we will talk not only about this action shooter, but also about other games from Xbox Game Studios. Microsoft engineers are already working with Nvidia to support PC gaming in GeForce Now.
If anyone had any doubts about Call of Duty on Switch, Microsoft is confident that it will be able to launch new games, including Warzone, natively on this platform with the same features and content as on Xbox. It is reminiscent of the Apex Legends, Doom Eternal, Fortnite and Crysis 3 games that were successfully ported to the Switch.
