Spanish studio Lins Works The company has run out of money and will cease operations this April and cancel all upcoming projects. Stealth action creators Aragami Series too much ambition broke their necks.
For the past two years, the Lince Works team has been working on new brands and trying to set a new direction for the studio. “We were ambitious in what we wanted to achieve as a studio, but unfortunately, although we made significant progress, the economic context was unfavorable and we ran out of time,” explains knowledge. The work done last year will remain unfinished, which is “heartbreaking”.
Aragami and Aragami 2 will continue to be sold through digital stores, and online co-op play will remain active.
The first volume sold well. 500,000 copies and in May 2020 (a year before the release of Part 2), the studio received $3.4 million in funding led by Game Seer. This money has apparently been used for Aragami 2 and projects that will not be completed.
It can be said that the management of Lince Works has not learned its lesson. The first volume of Aragami was very popular. However, in the second part, the authors wanted to surpass themselves and it ended not very well. It was again confirmed that more doesn’t automatically mean better. Although later Aragami 2 recovered and is still in good condition.
