Ubisoft is working on a strategic reorganization of its European offices responsible for game publishing and marketing.. Apparently already decided Close Ubisoft Benelux responsible for the sale of physical games in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. It is planned to close several more branches in the near future.
It is assumed that the reason for this decision drop in sales of physical games, a focus on digital marketing, and a shift from AAA games to free and mobile games. According to unverified information, Ubisoft Benelux will close on April 1, 2023. In the meantime, the publisher of Assassin’s Creed is looking for new partners who will take over the distribution of games in certain regions of Europe. They are not exactly specified, but earlier there were reports about the possibility of closing the Polish offices of Ubisoft.
Ubisoft has not commented on these speculations. This only confirmed the strategic reorganization of its European publishing divisions.
