Judging by the latest indications and hints, we can soon expect a new part of the Counter-Strike series, or at least significant improvements to the latest Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. At the end of last week, they stirred up a discussion for the first time Details on the latest Nvidia graphics card driversin whose database the cs2 and csgo2 executable files were found.
Journalist Richard Lewis reacted to this discovery, having already brought some exclusive information from the world of Counter-Strike in the past. Lewis claims in his article that the leaked files are real heralding the announcement of a new version of Counter-Strike. According to his own source, he learned that the game currently has the working title of Counter-Strike 2 and has been in development for a long time.
However, perhaps the most interesting piece of his text is the mention of the upcoming public beta release, for which this should have happened no later than April 1. Lewis goes on to add that, according to his information, the new Counter-Strike will run on 128 tick servers and use the Source 2 engine. If the above information is correct, then an official announcement should be literally around the corner. Valve has not yet commented on the situation.
