Polish studio Fool’s Theory, which created a solid isometric RPG. Seven: Days Long Gone dated 2017, the latest time is mainly associated with the announcement of the preparation of a remake of the original Witcher CD Project Red. But we’ve known for a long time that he’s also planning project with the working title Vitriol, which for a change was created in collaboration with 11 bit studios. And finally, we can look at it in all its glory.

The creators of Fool’s Theory and studio 11 bit have officially unveiled a single player game, story-driven RPG with a custom title Thaumaturge, which takes players to Warsaw in the early 20th century. The Polish metropolis of 1905, created using the Unreal 5 engine, is specifically designed to offer a culturally diverse environment with no shortage of arcane powers and morally ambiguous choicesthe consequences you will have to face.

The thaumaturge also beckons with elements of character development, investigation mechanics and unique turn-based combat concept. It is obvious that not only during them the invited persons will have influence. Thaumaturges capable of taming strange supernatural creatures known as Salitors.. They can be used not only for combat, but also to manipulate the moods and affections of other people. Only one who is a Thaumaturge can perceive the full form and nature of the Welcomers with the ability to influence others, greatly enhancing the ability to influence others.

Your character will also be a Thaumaturge, and so on. you will be able to eliminate enemies during the battle not only with human attacks and abilities, but also with psychic blows, for which the Welcomers are responsible. This also means that you, too, will be able to influence the mood of other characters so that they do what you want. In the same way, you will get the opportunity to tame the dangerous power of Salutors and use their unique abilities not only during combat, but also when exploring the game world.

It looks like the world of the Thaumaturge will be as dark and depressing as the setting of Seven: The Days Long Gone. Local Warsaw suffers from the rule of the Russian Tsarist regime and is inhabited by different people with different views and beliefs.. On the streets you will meet Russian soldiers, Jewish merchants, Polish townspeople and other people of various origins. The creators even lure Warsaw into a vibrant metropolis where you can participate in a mind-blowing party in the best company, only to be robbed in a dark alley in the Prague district. So yes, looks like there might even be some Czech traces. However, there will definitely be historical figures that should play a role in the game’s story.

More Unfortunately we don’t know when Thaumaturge coming out. However, the game is currently apparently only in development for the PC version, which will be available through Steam, GOG.com, and the Epic Games Store. And if you want to see what the game looks like in action, just click on the mini-game on the dedicated developer page and watch it for a while. However, it should be noted that although Seven is officially available with Czech subtitles, in this case Czech localization not yet announced.
