Obsidian Entertainment, Private Division and Virtuos announced today that on 3/7 of this year they will be releasing The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. This is a new edition of the 2019 sci-fi RPG.
The new edition will cost $60/€ and will include the base game with two additional expansions. Murder on Eridanos and danger on Gorgon. If players have The Outer Worlds and both DLCs for PC, PlayStation 4, or Xbox One, they can upgrade to the Spacer’s Choice Edition for $10/EUR.

The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition, according to a press release. boasts a range of improvements. It mentions higher resolution graphics, a dynamic weather system, overhauled lighting and environments, improved performance and load times, improved character detail, an increased level cap, and more.
The game is set to run in 4K at 60fps on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Plus 4K also on PC.
In an interview with Rock Paper Shotgun, the authors even boasted that small changes have been made to the AI, including your companions. The team has improved facial animations, added new animations for monsters and surrounding NPCs, and dynamic weather should also provide for leaves flying according to wind speed and direction.
You too slightly increase the minimum and recommended PC requirements. The recommended list will now include an Intel Core i7-8700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB of RAM and a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, GeForce RTX 2070 or Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics card.
