24 hours was long enough for The Forest’s successor to become a hit. Authors from Endnight Games boasted on Twitter that they sold two million copies of the game in one day sons of the forestwhich was launched in early access on Steam.
According to SteamDB, 350,105 players have launched Sons of the Forest on Steam at one point, while The Forest’s record was 76,226 players. It perfectly shows how much of a hit this survival sequel is.
No wonder Sons of the Forest is now the best selling game on Steam worldwide. This is followed by the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive free event, Hogwarts Legacy, Destiny 2 and Apex Legends free event rounding out the top five.
“Thank you to those who have joined us on our Sons of the Forest Early Access journey” wrote Studio Endnight Games and said that he prepares news for the next weeks.
