With a nearly eight-minute dev diary-style video, we learn more about the world of Sanctuary z. Diablo 4. Blizzard not only introduces the world, but also shows gameplay footage to keep us interested even more.
The game world is divided into five areas inspired by the real landscape.. Kejistan offers a desert with dunes, Skosglen is reminiscent of Scotland, Shattered Peaks is a mountainous country rising above the Carpathians, Dry Steppes is more of a mountainous desert region, and then there are the Havezar Marshes.
Transitions between these different areas should be naturally. An example is the walk from the snow-covered Fissure Peaks to the marshes of Havezar. You will see waterfalls of melting snow. The world is simple one big map without loading screens.
We have something new to look forward to in every corner of this world. These can be regular enemies, dangerous bosses, strongholds to conquer, random events, or dungeons. They are designed in such a way that you feel like they are part of the region. So there will be flooded dungeons, sand filled dungeons, etc. Plus they will vary in size.
In general, there will be the pace of the game changes a lot throughout the game. Diablo 4 will offer both short and longer story side quests. Exploring the world is definitely worth it, Lilith’s altars are hidden in all regions, which will give your characters a permanent stat boost.
It will be better to be careful with opponents. It’s not just about human-snake hybrids called Nengari (a new species), but this time the monsters will unite into “families” and use the unique abilities of each “member” to adapt the battle strategy.
yes you can pet the dog.
We remind you of the latest information about public beta. It will take place in a month. The full version of Diablo 4 will be released on 06/06/2023 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
