Bye Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order refers to more successful games, there are quite a few things the title could do better. Its successor in form Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is trying to learn from these mistakes, and the developers probably set themselves the goal of adding not only rigidity to the novel, but also more combat variability.

We didn’t learn much about the story per se from the new trailer you can see above from IGN, but we combat system introduced And increased level of cruelty. It was more or less lacking in the previous part, and many players criticized this fact. Probably because of Disney and Lucasfilm, both companies are not only very fond of toning down the surroundings, but also wanted to save the chopping off of limbs for more important events, as was the case in the past. If everything we see in the video ends up in the main game, that would mean one big thing. Tearing off the legs can be considered! And we mean it.
Several frames clearly show how the death of some characters is accompanied by a fall of an arm or leg. Basically, this is an element that in the previous work is completely missed and will probably bring a smile to the faces of some players. After all, who wouldn’t want to rip off the arms of corpses, right? What makes it even more interesting is that not only robots will lose limbs, but also humans. What we do not see, however, is the beheading of human enemies. This will only be possible for animals and droids.
But the most interesting thing that the demonstration brought was five different positionswhich allow you to use interesting ways to suppress enemies.
The first one classic stance with one lightsaber. The latter, of course, remains and, in fact, is Cal’s universal set of moves. You can still fight for Darth Maul with double-edged lightsaberwhich is best against large groups, but has a longer attack charge, so you need to engage with caution.
Now you can fighting with two lightsabers. This stance is described as a glass cannon stance. You will take more damage, but your attacks will be faster and you will have access to more combos. It is also the only stance that allows you to cancel your own attack in order to block or dodge.
The other two new positions are called cross protection And blaster. Position cross protection this basically turns Cal’s lightsaber into a heavy and long weapon that provides the most powerful attacks at the expense of speed. And finally, with regard to blaster the character also wields a lightsaber in addition to firearms. This gives the player more options to attack from a distance while remaining in the center of the action.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will release on April 28 this year for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
