The village in the remake of Resident Evil 4 will be bigger

In the remake Resident Evil 4 you will find immediately after publication New game plus with the ability to continue the game with the acquired equipment and abilities, photo mode to capture the scariest moments and multiple control schemessome of which are similar to Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 remakes.

“You can choose from several schemes similar to other remakes,” director Yasuhiro Ampo confirmed in an interview with Game Informer (video below). A similar control scheme from the original fourth part is also included, but it’s not 100% the same.

The Resident Evil 4 remake not only boasts modern graphics, nicer animations, side quests, smarter AI with Ashley Graham and a new weapon in the form of a crossbow, but also extended village part. It will be larger than its counterpart in the original game.

“The area you can explore is bigger than before,” Ampo said of the village. It has already been confirmed that in the remake the island remains. The second director, Kazunori Kado, stated that it had a redesigned level design that would be different from the original game, but not necessarily more so.

Resident Evil 4 Remake will release on March 24, 2023 on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Xbox Series X/S.
