Multiplayer goes free on PlayStation this weekend

Sony has launched a “Gamesfest” on its consoles. In practice, this means a wave of discounts for subscribers, various digital bonuses, and more. free multiplayer for those who, on the other hand, don’t pay for any form of PlayStation Plus.

The free online game will be available this weekend, February 18th and 19th. The only requirement is that you have a PSN account (and the games in question, of course, but many of them are free on the PS store).

“In addition, this weekend players can take part in a number of free tournaments such as FIFA 23, NBA 2K23 and Guilty Gear. Tournaments will be open to both PS Plus members and non-members and they will be able to compete in them for a new PS Plus subscription,” the official announcement reads.

Other events, including the Festival of Play, will run until February 24th. It’s about double discounts on various games for PlayStation Plus subscribers or three hours trial version of last year’s hit God of War Ragnarok. It’s available now, but only for those who pay for the highest PlayStation Plus tier marked Premium. Like discounts, it is limited in time. In addition, several games will be added to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium service collections on February 21, including last year’s Horizon Forbidden West.
