The situation around the Czech action RPG machine Hogwarts Legacy has been really wild in recent days. Today the Lokalizace.net team came with the announcement: “Unfortunately, we have to inform you that the main driving force behind Charlotte’s Czech language, experienced translator Charlotte, has decided to leave our small localization scene. Together with her, for obvious reasons, several experienced team members decided to leave the project, the absence of which is a big loss for the translation.“.
While the move would likely mean a slowdown in development of the Czech language for Hogwarts Legacy, which was originally supposed to be a collaboration between the Czech team Charlotten and Lokalizace.net, the second group of creators ultimately decided not to throw it away and implement it anyway. However, as the creators imagine, the imaginary sword of Damocles can still be in the air: “However, we strongly warn anyone interested in this Czech language that there is still a real risk that the authors of the game will ban the publication of the Czech localization, which we will of course fully respect and eventually will not publish the Czech language at all. .“
Of course, we keep our fingers crossed for them in their work. As for the localizations from the Czech workshops of Charlotte, they are coming under the wing of the Lokalizace.net team, which will try to complete the projects. However, as you can read in the image attached above, this does not promise anything due to the number of projects in the pipeline.
