The reason for this decision is that Gambit is banned from participating in the official VALORANT Circuit, as well as CS:GO competitions such as the ESL Pro League and BLAST, due to alleged ties to the Russian government. Basically, it is a sanction imposed due to the country invading Ukraine and causing various conflicts and deaths.

The release of the CS:GO roster took place for the first time last Friday (11). Already VALORANT was confirmed this Monday (14).

Besides Gambit itself, other organizations have faced similar sanctions for the same reasons. One of them is Virtus.Pro, which takes the same position on releasing CS:GO players to compete without representing them. However, unlike Gambit, the VP issued harsher statements and refused to accept the imposed sanctions, including calling them “revoke culture”.

Gambit’s CS:GO and VALORANT rosters consist of the following players:

Gambit CS:GO

  • naive
  • sh1ro
  • interz
  • Ax1Le
  • hobby
  • gutter (ram)

VALORANT game

  • chronic
  • d3ffo
  • sheydollars
  • nats
  • Indian
  • scary (coach)
