Fable and new author’s brand We Happy Few

Almost three years have passed since the announcement the return of the fable, which is being developed by the creators of the Forza Horizon series at Playground Games. Fans haven’t had much to be excited about lately as there have been reports of development issues on the internet. Nobody confirmed them, rather denied them. Fortunately, there is now positive news. At least that’s how it looks from the outside.

It looks like Playground Games is slowly making great progress, and Microsoft may well surprise with a gameplay demo. This is evidenced by the profile of the producer Fable. Vijay Gill hints at the playable status of the upcoming game on LinkedIn.

Gill’s job is to prepare builds and run playtests. During the development process, a number of builds are created for testing, including individual systems. So the question is, in what specific state is Fable. Given the long development time, the developers should already have something.

At least one thing that Gill’s description brings out is that development does not stop. But that doesn’t automatically mean you can play Fable right now from start to finish.

New information about the studio’s mysterious project Coercion Games we also learn from LinkedIn. New Brand Narrative Director from the creators of We Happy Few says she helped take the game from pre-production to alpha version. But we still need to wait for the details. We may see it in June at the scheduled Xbox press conference.
