Animated film “Resident Evil: Island of Death” announced

The release of the fourth Resident Evil remake is slowly approaching, but for now, Capcom has prepared a surprise for fans of the series. They are working on a new animated film subtitled “Island of Death”, IGN magazine exclusively announced it and immediately posted the first trailer.

This will be a sequel to 2017’s Resident Evil: Vendetta, suggesting that the movie takes place between the events of RE7 and RE8, but this has not been confirmed. The main characters will be government agents. Leon S. Kennedywho is sent to rescue a kidnapped doctor and a BSAA agent Chris Redfield, who is investigating the San Francisco zombie outbreak. The only thing the victims have in common is what they have recently visited. Alcatraz Islandso that’s where Chris’s team will go.

At the end of the trailer, we can also see a frame from Jill Valentine, which has not yet appeared in any animated film and has not appeared in any game for a long time (except for the remake of the trio). However, we do not yet know how big a role he will play.
