Ross joined Crystal Dynamics as design manager. He boasted about the novelty in his Twitter account, saying that he was delighted with the project and reminded of almost 50 vacancies in the studio. It is likely that Ross is involved in the development of the new adventure of the archaeologist Lara Croft.

Game Director Jeff Ross and Writer/Director John Garvin, the two most senior creators of Days Gone, left the Sony Bend studio in December 2020. According to unconfirmed reports, Sony did not allow them to work on a sequel to Days Gone. They’ve been with the Oregon studio since its inception in the mid-1990s when they created an action game.
