On Thursday, we received a lot of new information about the Resident Evil 4 Remake, including gameplay footage. However, a day later, Game Informer magazine provided an even more detailed sample – a purely gameplay video with 12 minutes of new footage.
Specifically, we can see part of the fifth chapter in action, when Leon, along with the already freed Ashley, runs away from the church to different parts of the village. The video shows stealth, among other things, which can now be used as a completely valid tactic. In case of disclosure, of course, an active fight begins. In addition, several types of enemies will appear here, including new ones, such as a large mutated dog or a villager with a hammer and a cow’s head. There is also a meeting with a merchant or a more detailed display of inventory and treasures.
For example, video calls with agent Ingrid Hannigan, which, unlike the original, are part of the gameplay, are completely new things that have not been talked about yet. Near the end of the video, we can also see the storage space inside the typewriters, which basically works similar to the item boxes in other parts. This is a significant change from the original game where you didn’t have any storage space other than your inventory.
The Resident Evil 4 remake will release on March 24th. Heading to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
