EA Sports has signed Max Verstappen to a contract for the 2023 season.

The sports division of Electronic Arts has signed a contract with a two-time world champion Max Verstappen. team racer Oracle Red Bull Racing will work with EA Sports to create content for its portfolio. EA will also sponsorthe publisher’s logo will appear on its helmet during the upcoming season starting in March.

Andrea Hopelen, EA Sports Racing Brand Vice President, said: “Max is a hard-working racer and true champion who loves games and video games. We are excited to partner with him as one of the best athletes in the world and bring more fans to our racing games.”

Verstappen added: “Whether you’re playing games with friends or competing off the track, EA Sports has always been an important part of my life. EA Sports is an icon for many millions of fans and I am proud to represent it in the 2023 season.”

Recall that the Codemasters studio, owned by Electronic Arts, F1 rights until 2025, renewable through 2026 and 2027. The last part called F1 22 came out last summer. This year’s episode should be presented soon.

Red Bull unveiled the single seater in New York today. RB19, with whom he intends to defend last season’s Constructors’ title and Max to add a third title. Red Bull also revealed that from 2026 it will join forces with Ford, which is returning to F1 as an engine supplier.
