Alan Wake 2 is Remedy’s biggest project to date.

The long-awaited sequel to Alan Wake was already announced at The Game Awards 2021, but since then, unfortunately, very little new information has been received. Now he tried to fix it a little in an interview with GamesRadar magazine with game director Kyle Rowley. However, I warn you in advance that he really only brought new bits about the development itself, we are still waiting for more details about the game itself.

Rowley recalls that Remedy has been working on a second Alan almost since the release of the first. Developers have been coming up with new concepts all the time, but only now they think they’ve found the right one. Unlike the relatively action-packed first part, this time we should expect a full-fledged survival horror, however, with Remedy’s manuscript, Rowley still does not go into details. The project gradually gained momentum and became more and more unique, according to creative director Sam Lake, this is so far the biggest game from this Finnish studio.

The second will hit the market after a lot of preparation in the form of a remaster of the first part and, of course, the AWE DLC for Control, in which the entire Remedy Connected universe is created. In this context, Remedy game veterans should look forward to plenty of hints and direct connections. But Rowley says absolute beginners who haven’t even played the first game will also enjoy this game.

Alan Wake 2 will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It should be released this year, but the exact release date is still unknown.
