Flying Wild Hog and Devolver Digital surprised us by announcing an improved version of the first-person action game Shadow Warrior 3, which came out last year. The Definitive Edition will release on February 16 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Shadow Warrior 3: Definitive Edition it will be available for free to anyone who already owns the game. The rest can buy. It will include a lot of new content and improvements for next generation consoles.
Let’s start with new content. Here we have three new modes: Survival, Hero and New Game Plus. The first is deathmatch against waves of enemies in arenas, including three new non-campaign arenas. Hero Mode, on the other hand, brings modifiers that limit Wang’s respawn. Then comes the selection of chapters in the campaign, New Game Plus and hardcore difficulty for those who want a more challenging task.
In terms of improvements, on PS5 and Xbox Series you will be able to choose between two graphics modes: 60 fps at unspecified resolution and 4K at 30 fps. On PlayStation 5, you can still count on support for DualSense controller haptic feedback and controller speaker.
