The sequel to the Scandinavian saga of Kratos and his son Atreus has already attracted a lot of players since its release. Unsurprisingly, the game received very high ratings in the reviews and received a full 10 out of 10 from ours. Over 5.1 million copies were sold in the first week, which was an absolute record for a game from Sony. The previous 2018 batch boasted “only” 3.1 million units at a time.
However, on Wednesday evening, developers from Sony Santa Monica showed off a new number for Ragnarok. Less than three months after release, the game has already more than doubled in size with over 11 million copies sold, still holding the position as the fastest selling game from 1st installment.
“None of this would have been possible without the support of our fans, so thank you for coming on this journey with us!” they said authors on twitter.
It will be interesting to see how quickly the previous volume, which was 23 million units in November, will be surpassed.
