Dying Light 2 celebrates its first birthday

Techland celebrates its first anniversary Dying Light 2: Stay Human. The Polish studio boasted that the two-part series has sold 30 million copies, and that number is growing every month.

“The team continues to demonstrate their unwavering commitment to creating an unforgettable experience for players around the world – we will not stop and will continue to support the game with amazing content for many years to come.” — commented creative director Adrian Ciszewski.

“These outstanding numbers speak for themselves and confirm the success of the Dying Light series. We were able to achieve this only thanks to our wonderful community. I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank them for their great support. We have ambitious plans not only for the development and further support of the game, but also for its distribution to other media.” Oleg Klapovsky, head of the Techland publishing house, said.

As a reward for players, Techland has prepared a themed event bloody anniversary (from 31.1. to 9.2.) Dropkick Weekend (from 9/2 to 13/2). Players who participate and complete the Bloody Anniversary quests can receive the Rais set for free. For completing tasks during the Dropkick weekend, they will receive a Brecken Bundle.

Latest update with the above content on PC removed Denuvo anti-piracy protection.

But the most important thing is yet to come:

– In February, the game will be able to play in co-op on different generations of consoles and support Steam Deck.

– Combat physics will be improved in April and there will be more brutal combat. There will be additional quests and a system that will allow you to change the appearance of equipment without affecting the characteristics.

– In June, the parkour system will be improved, the movements should be smoother. You are waiting for new attractions to travel around the night city.

– Later second major story expansion. This will take place in a new location, and we will have to rely on new weapons. It is assumed that the DLC will be more narrative in nature and contain references to the first Dying Light.

All of this goes hand in hand with Techland’s promise to support Dying Light 2 for at least five years. Game available with Czech subtitles on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A cloud version for Nintendo Switch will arrive later this year.

If you haven’t got Dying Light 2 yet, now is the perfect time: on Steam the basic version is on sale for 30 euros until February 13th, on the PS Store until February 16th for 924.50 CZK and on the Xbox Store for 924.50 crowns until February 8th . There is also a discount on the more expensive edition.
