Jake Solomon from Fyraxis games Says that he knows nothing about the continuation of the strategic series XCOM, whose modern series has lagged behind in many ways. He gave an interview to VGC magazine. According to him, he is currently focused mainly on supporting the recently released Marvel Midnight Suns.
“Personally, Fr. [XCOMu] Currently I don’t have information and I’m saying this directly because, to tell you the truth, yesterday I was working on Morbi’s monastic robe, so on [XCOMu] I don’t work. I don’t have any secret plans, I don’t know anything about XCOM at the moment,” he claims.
However, XCOM has not been forgotten at Firaxis. In addition to fans and journalists asking questions about the third feature, Solomon stated last year, “As long as I’m alive, as long as Firaxis is alive, XCOM (…) is definitely not dead.”
The last full-fledged part of the series was released in 2016, less than three years ago we saw a small spin-off with a subtitle. Chimera Squad. Jake Solomon was not involved in this, and it is possible that XCOM 3 is still at some stage of development at Firaxis, but already without his participation.
