Last day of January on consoles Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One coming out Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition. The award-winning real-time strategy game will of course also be part of the Xbox Game Pass and is optimized for controller play.
Released in 2019 on PC, Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition is an updated version of the 1999 game with significantly improved graphics, 4K support, and all previously released expansions.
You are waiting for 83 maps, 42 multiplayer civilizations, 34 single player campaigns, 10 multiplayer modes and 7 cooperative campaigns. It will also be included optional crossplay cross-platform so friends on Xbox and PC can play together. The game will also be added to Xbox Cloud Gaming in beta, allowing everyone to continue building their empire outside of PC or console.
The game is constantly growing. The team has prepared almost 40 updates and 3 additional packs with new civilizations and campaigns, incl. Hussites with Jan Zizka. All this and more should mean over 200 hours of gameplay.
This year it is expected to appear on the Xbox console. Age of Empires IV. Release date not announced.
