MMO survival The Day Before seems really special from the very beginning. The game looks suspiciously good, despite the fact that it is made by a completely unknown studio, which has only smaller and not very successful projects. So the speculation that it might be some kind of Abandoned-style rip-off never stopped, and that the game might not exist at all. More recently, however, marketing has gained momentum, and the name appeared, for example, at an Nvidia conference. So it seemed that the game would actually release on the planned March 1st date. But this will not happen, under very strange circumstances.
The Day Before has just been removed from Steam. The developers claim this is a Steam maintenance bug, but it looks like the maintenance is over and the title is still nowhere to be seen. At the moment there are also no reports of this “bug” affecting other games. pic.twitter.com/jrklbke9Vi

Early in the morning, The Day Before disappeared from Steam. The developers initially stated that this was a bug caused by the service itself, but subsequently refuted their claims by announcing a delay November 10, 2023. And the reason? According to the authors, someone had already registered a trademark in the name of The Day Before and filed a complaint with them on January 19 this year.
This is a really strange story, because trademarks are often filled long before the release or even the announcement of this game. It is absurd for developers not to register a brand a month before release. Of course, the fans are quite outraged and do not believe this statement too much, after all, it is not surprising.

Fntastic adds that they planned to release a longer gameplay video in January, which is now also being delayed, and they can’t say exactly when it will release yet.
If The Day Before ever comes out, it will come to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
