Grand Theft Auto Online has a serious security flaw on PC. There have been instances where players have lost all of their game progress or lost access to their game account. The operating system can also be compromised, when hackers can access files on a computer or, in extreme cases, inject malware into it – run an unwanted program. Fortunately, no such cases have been recorded so far.

Some players have experienced that their GTA Online account a billion dollars has landed, for which they received a ban from Rockstar. Other times you couldn’t play, the camera went crazy, you couldn’t walk with the character, etc.

A well-known Tez2 insider who specializes in GTA claims that Rockstar is aware of the issue and is working on a fix. The developers have not yet commented on the situation.. Anyway, most modders recommend Do not play GTA Online on your computerto prevent your account and computer from being attacked via an exploit (this was previously the case for Dark Souls). If the attack did occur, deleting the Rockstar Games folder from your computer’s documents and then launching GTA Online to recover the data from the server should help.

Speyedr, creator of the Guardian, the popular anti-cheat firewall for GTA Online, also recommends that you wait until the game starts. Spayedr is concerned that his tool cannot be misused, so he has temporarily blocked access to it. Also, you should not use a Guardian downloaded from external sources, as this is most likely an outdated version of the software.

We will monitor the situation and as soon as something new appears, we will update the article or write a new one.
