Sao Paulo accepts LOCK//IN

From February 13 to March 4, Brazil’s Sao Paulo will host an international Valorant tournament – LOCK//IN. 32 partner teams will compete with each other, which fans will be able to watch right at the venue. The teams are divided into three regional divisions: American, European (EMEA), and Pacific. A separate division is China, which will be represented by two teams.

The teams will be divided into two groups of sixteen teams. On the way to the semi-finals, the so-called single-elimination BO3 matches will be played. The BO5 format will apply between the semi-final matches and the grand final. Not many spectators and participants were satisfied with the chosen format of the tournament. Sixteen teams will be eliminated in single-elimination, right during the first round of the championship. When we think about the financial burden of traveling to Brazil, for example, the criticism is not at all surprising. However, Riot Games – the creators of Valorant – made it clear that the reason for choosing the format is the organization of the largest LAN tournament at the moment. However, in the future they promised to return to a more classic double-elimination format. The tournament will be available to watch on the official Valorant channel on Twitch and YouTube from February 13th.

Czech community League of Legends in the movie
