While fans are still waiting for the next installment in the popular Gears of War series, a new game was announced quite unexpectedly on Friday. But it’s not a video game, it’s a card game. Behind it is Steamforged Games, which already has several boards based on the video game model. For example, it is worth mentioning Resident Evil 2 and 3, Horizon Zero Dawn or Dark Souls. A desktop adaptation of Elden Ring is also in preparation.
The authors have not yet disclosed the details of the Gears of War card game, but have published the first images where we can see what the packaging, cards and some rules look like. However, the game should appear this year, so it’s likely that the authors won’t keep themselves waiting long until the details come out. As for the game series, the sixth part will probably have to wait a few more years. Studio The Coalition seems to be working on some new brand, and after it the sixth part of Gears will appear.
