With the start of the new year, many developers are thanking fans and teasing the events surrounding their games over the next twelve months. So is society Atlas, according to which we can look forward to the appearance of several unannounced games. New Year’s wishes were published by the Japanese magazine Famitsu (VGC transcription).
“Thank you for supporting the updated versions of P4U2, 13th Machine Defense Circle for Nintendo Switch, Soul Hackers 2 and Persona 5 The Royal in 2022,” the developers write, “in 2023 we will start releasing updated versions of P3P and P4G, and we are also preparing several unannounced new titles. Wait for them!
In an interview with PersonaCentral, studio director Naoto Hiraoka revealed that the team is currently working on six of its own games and is collaborating on four more with other companies.
In a recent Famitsu poll, the developers hinted at the continuation of the Shin Megami Tensei series: “With many years of support from many people, the Shin Megami Tensei series will celebrate its 30th anniversary in October 2022. (…) We hope that in 2023, when we turn 31 years old, we can express gratitude to our fans in some way.”
