Development of action-RPG Dragon’s Dogma 2 goes according to plan

Good news for Japanese fans Dogma Dragon 2. Development of the fantasy RPG sequel seems to be going according to plan. Director Hideaki Itsuno is hopeful that development will go smoothly and he will be able to release news on the project sometime in 2023.

At least that’s his main wish for the coming year, as asked by Famitsu magazine. According to Itsuno, he is so focused on developing Dragon’s Dogma 2 that he has lost count of the seasons.

Recall already confirmed Capcom games for the first half of 2023: a remake of Resident Evil 4, versions of Monster Hunter Rise and Street Fighter 6 for PlayStation and Xbox. In addition, the company is also preparing Exoprimal and Pragmata titles.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is the sequel to Dragon’s Dogma, an action RPG slash game that Capcom developed and released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 back in 2012. In 2013, an improved version of Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen was released for the original platforms. In 2016 it was expanded to PC, and a year later to PS4 and Xbox One. In 2019, the game also appeared on the Nintendo Switch.
