Gran Turismo series currently celebrates 25 years since the release of the first volume, which entered the market exactly on December 23, 1997. The game was released that day only in Japan exclusively for the first PlayStation. Players in Europe and North America had to wait until May 1998.
It soon became the Gran Turismo series. one of the PlayStation flagships. The individual parts were able to attract a wide group of players despite the emphasis on simulation and realistic racing handling. Longtime head of Polyphony Digital, Kazunori Yamauchi, posted a short post on the official PlayStation Blog, thanking the players for their support and revealing that individual parts of the series have sold a total of 90 million units.
In honor of this, the developers have released a special anniversary video, which shows the individual parts in turn. Let’s see where the brand goes in the future. It’s been pretty outspoken lately that the series will be leaving PlayStation waters for the first time in its history and coming to PC.
We must not forget that the film is being shot now. Last so far Gran Turismo 7 what’s more, with the exception of microtransactions, it was received very positively (reviews), so you don’t have to worry about the future of the brand.
