Tango Gameworks is said to be working on a smaller Pentimento game.

Well-known journalist Jeff Grubb became a guest of the new edition of the XboxEra podcast and shared some very interesting information. First, it confirmed something that’s been talked about a lot lately, and that’s Microsoft’s demo. He didn’t show anything at The Game Awards and we’re waiting for his news, but Xbox marketing VP Aaron Greenberg has already indicated that we might find out relatively soon. After that, there was talk of a potential showcase in the first quarter, which Grubb also confirms. However, even the journalist’s sources have not yet been able to establish a more accurate date.

At the same time, he added additional, completely new information. According to him, the Xbox event will showcase a new game from Japanese studio Tango Gameworks, which features the horror series The Evil Within and this year’s ghost event GhostWire: Tokyo. However, Grubb says it’s not a AAA game, but something like the recently released Pentiment. This would make sense since Shinji Mikami, the father of the Resident Evil series and founder of Tango Gameworks, stated some time ago that he would like the developers at his studio to experiment in addition to making great games. One of these attempts, apparently, could be a name that will appear early next year.

However, this is not the only thing created at Tango Gameworks. Already in March of this year, we learned that the director of The Evil Within 2 is working on some new project, which is “the complete opposite of horror films.” But he’s probably a little further.
