The Singularity is an artificial man who, with an army of homunculi, wants to destroy all universes, unite them into one Alpha universe so that he can wipe out the forces that give balance to universes and worlds from the face of the earth. And here you can see why the whole beginning was quite unpleasant for me. It seems to me that lately the multiverses have been traveling through them and dealing with the biggest threats possible everywhere. Luckily, after a really rough start, the game details the whole concept enough., which makes the story very close, although this is a crisis of grandiose proportions. So if you are afraid of getting lost in the game, especially if you have not played the previous parts, do not worry. With Viola becoming the player’s eyes and ears as the story progresses, it’s pretty easy to figure out what’s going on even as you travel through universes, storylines, and characters.

Luckily, you’ll be spending most of your time with our old friend Bayonetta. He gets new weapons, demons or abilities in every universe so you always have new combos and attacks. So even at the end of the 13 hour story, the gameplay feels fresh. But if you want, you can also leave it in the game more than 30 hoursbefore completing all tests. But the most responsible for the fresh gameplay is the cleverly redesigned character upgrade. You do not improve the power of your weapon, but only unlock new moves or combinations of them. Thanks to this, you can only use basic weapons at the beginning, then switch to a powerful demonic hammer or yo-yo, and then return to basic pistols at the end. Their strength will be the same all the time.

The series is mainly known for its Mr.somewhere insane combinations of attacks. Want to make a stronger shot? So rotate the left stick and then press the Y button. Want to unleash a devastating attack? So, press X three times, then wait a bit, press A twice, move the joystick up and down, press ZR, turn the left stick again and press B. Sound crazy? Yes. Thanks to the way the game teaches you these combinations, you will be able to catch everything and perform deadly combinations without problems, which are handled differently than in most hack’n’slash games. But you can also find more famous controls like God of War here. Viola’s conversion is nearly identical to Kratos when he was still defeating the entire Greek pantheon. This is another update to the combat system. Some levels are the most desirable to return to, because each offers something of its own, whether it’s a location, a boss, or a fight as such. But Bayonetta 3 will please even fans of more stealth and 2D games. in the style of Mark of the Ninja. These missions are somewhat shorter and, like the other missions, they are easy to complete. However, it is difficult to pass them with all side quests completed and for the maximum rating. At the same time, the game has found a perfect balance in the gameplay, which will appeal to both avid players and more relaxed ones. If you wish, you can save up for an item that helps you perform even the most complex combinations of attacks, at the cost of a lower rating in missions.

But with so much action comes less technical deficiencies. In larger locations, the textures of more distant objects may jump. But that can be forgiven, as is the camera in most cases. This is partially locked to the nearest enemy unless you target another one yourself. But if there are really a lot of them on stage and something else is happening in the background, so be it. the camera is so far away that Bayonetta is not visible on the screen at all. Which can be problematic when this happens even in docked mode on the TV, because then you don’t even know when to dodge enemy attacks. Fortunately, such situations can be resolved by summoning a giant demon in the form of a spider or a kill train, but this can still disrupt the fight at times.
