While THQ Nordic and the Spanish team Alkimia Interactive are working on a remake of the first part of the cult Gothic seriesso older versions of the game still have a life of their own, thanks in part to the modding community.

At the end of last year, for example, there was a big modification for the second part called The Chronicles of Myrtana: Archolos, which is now free to play on Steam (you just need to have the original game).

However, to express my gratitude to this community and at the same time make it easier for everyone else to use mods, so recently Released Steam Workshop Support Beta for Episodes 1 and 2which can be accessed by clicking on the appropriate test branch on Steam next to the game.

You can find a link to the Workshop page for the first part here, and for the second part here.

If you are one of the creators of these mods, you will find instructions on how to get them in the Workshop.

Full and public support should come relatively soon.
