An affordable Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership for friends and family, which lets you share the service with up to five friends and family members, may not be the only innovation from Microsoft. The company is reportedly planning cheaper version of Game Pass with ads.
This follows from a survey that Microsoft had to circulate among gamers. He asks them if they’re willing to accept ads for a lower monthly subscription price. This will play before the beginning of the title.
Another downside will be games directly from Xbox Game Studios that will appear in this cheaper subscription version. only six months after release. The games are available right now. The question is whether all games will be included in the library. Only selected titles are counted.
The cheaper subscription will not include EA Play. This will remain in Game Pass Ultimate and the cloud will also be unavailable, as will mobile and TV games; only games for Xbox and PC will remain. Conversely, multiplayer or Xbox Live Gold will be enabled.
As for the price, it is indicated in the table 3 euro for 1 account (about 73 kr) and for the ultimate subscription for friends and family (5 accounts), Microsoft wants 22 euros per month (about 533 kr). The Ultimate is currently 339 kr per month, while the regular subscription is 259 kr.
For example, Netflix with ads in France costs 6 euros per month. But keep in mind that in Microsoft’s case, this is a survey. The company only finds out from the Spanish players whether they would be interested in such a tariff.
WILL MICROSOFT FINALLY SHOW GAMES?
There are also speculations about a Microsoft presentation that could take place sometime in early 2023. It would break the radio silence that reigns on the part of the upcoming Xbox projects. This was stated by well-known insider Rand al Thor on the Xbox Two podcast, it is reported that two independent sources have information. However, he still calls the rumor unverified.
Aaron Greenberg, chief executive of Xbox, recently stated: that they have a lot planned for 2023but everything takes time and proper timing. This was in response to the lack of Microsoft games at The Game Awards 2022.
So far, Microsoft has confirmed three titles for 2023: Forza Motorsport for the spring and Redfall with Starfield for the first half of the year. They could include, for example, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2. But much more is in development, including new Fable, Avowed, Perfect Dark or Contraband.
We have a lot planned to show and tell about an incredibly exciting 2023. People want to know and see more. Time is always of the essence, but don’t worry, you won’t have to wait too long for what’s next from us. 🙏🏻💚 https://t.co/d1dca2i2Nt
