In the fourth part of our specials, where we test the LYNX gaming PC with a Ryzen 5 5600 processor, GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card, 16 GB DDR4 RAM and 1 TB NVMe SSD, we take a look at the Deathloop action from the French studio Arkane. . This is a game from last year that also appeared on the Xbox this year, and at the same time, it also appeared on the Game Pass service and received some news. That is why it is ideal to watch the game and test it in the initial location. Again, we chose the traditional 1080p, 1440p, and 4K resolutions, and tested DLSS 2 and FSR 2 upscaling technologies at all resolutions.

So, let’s start with FullHD, where the LYNX gaming PC has no problems at all. Even at Ultra settings, you can expect an average frame rate of 161 FPS, even at low settings well above 100 fps. If you want an even higher frame rate, you can of course lower the preset. On Medium, for example, you can even expect an average frame rate of 210 FPS.

Of course, the use of upscaling technologies is also possible. Both DLSS and FSR are available in Deathloop and both are very similar at this resolution. But it must be said that DLSS still has an advantage in terms of image quality, so it makes more sense for owners of computers with an Nvidia card. In FullHD, I would personally recommend the maximum of the preset Quality, the rest degrade the picture too much.

Let’s move on to 1440p, which is understandably more demanding, but again not so much that the setting doesn’t work well anyway. Even with the Ultra setting, you can still enjoy frame rates in excess of 100fps, which is of course quite enough even for fast-paced action like Deathloop.

On the other hand, it makes sense to use DLSS or FSR here. Somewhat surprisingly, there was quite a significant difference between technologies, so I would definitely recommend DLSS, which is a good way to get near the most out of popular 144Hz monitors.

And finally, we have 4K, where the performance still drops a lot. The limit should not only be raw rasterization performance, but also 8 GB of VRAM. You will only notice a noticeable boost on the Medium setting, which reduces the quality of the textures significantly.

Therefore, the ideal solution is to use one of the upscaling technologies. At DLSS Quality, you get a pretty good 76fps, although the lower values ​​are a little hesitant.

All in all, these are again great results and you’ll be fine at all traditional resolutions, although 4K is already best with DLSS or competitive FSR. On the contrary, in FullHD, the LYNX gaming PC is able to achieve really high frame rates, which can be very useful for an action game like Deathloop.
