After the game The Callisto Protocol from the original creator of Dead Space, which caused quite a mixed reaction, a remake of the Dead Space title as such is slowly approaching. Behind this is EA Motive, who were very transparent during development and organized several live streams where they walked us through the remake process and gradually showed new pieces directly from the game. However, now we have received a very long 18-minute clip from the beginning of the game, which was provided exclusively by IGN magazine.
The iconic opening hasn’t changed much in structure, that is, with the exception of one thing that we have long known – the main character Isaac speaks in the remake in the voice of Gunner Wright, who also portrayed the character in the second and third installments. So the events have a slightly different dynamic because Isaac is really reacting to other characters or to the events around him. Whether you like it or not is up to you. In addition, of course, we can see much more detailed graphics and, above all, the sound, which the developers paid so much attention to that at the beginning of this year they dedicated a separate stream to it.
Dead Space Remake releases on January 27, 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
