Bethesda CEO Todd Howard briefly hinted at what the upcoming Indiana Jones-themed game that Machine Games is currently working on could look like. Howard revealed on a podcast by computer scientist Lex Friedman that he has a name to suggest. unique combination of several genres. So it won’t be the classic action-adventure we’ve assumed so far.
Howard went on to add that Machine Games does a great job and is perfect for this type of game, especially in terms of storytelling. As a reminder, Machine Games is behind the reincarnation of the Wolfenstein series. Todd Howard himself on game development works as an executive producer and a self-proclaimed Indiana Jones fan.
The game was already announced in January 2021. While we haven’t received any new content since then, development seems to be going well.
