RTX 3060 8GB is another consumer scam from Nvidia

Although in September, among other things, Nvidia announced the RTX 4080 12 GB graphics card, it canceled it a month later. It has received heavy criticism online for its misleading title and high prices. But now the situation is repeating itself, only many have not noticed it. The 8GB version of the RTX 3060, tested by Hardware Unboxed, came out relatively quietly.

The specs are nearly identical, but really only nearly. In addition to less VRAM, the card also has a narrower bus (128 bits) and only 240 GB/s of bandwidth compared to 360 GB/s for the 12 GB version. The performance difference is certainly not small, the 12 GB version is on average 17% faster, but in extreme cases the gap can reach 35%. In short, it’s a huge difference and it’s very misleading to sell such products under the same number.

Several new models of the Ryzen 7000 series will appear in January

There have been a lot of rumors in recent weeks about new Ryzen 7000 generation processors. The processors released so far are not selling very well, but that may soon change with a new batch of models expected to hit the market in January.

First of all, these are “non-X” variants of existing CPUs, which, according to Wccftech magazine, should be announced at CES and released shortly after that, already on January 10th. Specifically, these should be the $429 Ryzen 9 7900, $329 Ryzen 7 7700, and $229 Ryzen 5 7600.

In addition, we should expect 3D options, that is, processors with V-Cache. Assumptions about them really vary greatly, while the latest information was provided by the QuasarZone channel, according to which three models will arrive: 16, 12 and 8 nuclear. Unlike the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, the frequency should remain almost the same. The presentation is also scheduled to take place at CES and be released on January 23rd.
