The Game Awards haven’t even happened yet, and Geoff Keighley is already announcing his next event. Summer Game Fest, first held in 2020 as a replacement for E3, will return next year, despite the fact that E3 itself will also take place this time.
While E3 doesn’t kick off with presentations until June 11th, the main Summer Game Fest show will take place as early as June 8th. In any case, we still don’t know if the events will somehow be connected, or if they will just happen completely separately. SGF can be watched both from the comfort of your home and in person. The show will take place at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, which offers 6,000 seats.
