Callisto Protocol is one of the most anticipated projects of the next month. The title, with its dark atmosphere and uncompromising gameplay, is also viewed for its depiction of violence and death per se. Sure, there will be many ways to die here, but you won’t be able to enjoy them all. Only part of the death animations are available to owners of the basic version of the game. The rest will be unlocked only after purchasing the Season Pass, or rather the Contagion package. In addition to increasing difficulty, it adds thirteen new animations and a collection of cosmetic modifications to the Watchtower. The monetization of this pack itself is a surprise that is not well received by most of the community, as its contents seem to be something that should not have been missing from the game.

In addition to this controversial expansion that feels rip-off and paid for, the Callisto Protocol Season Pass also brings a number of cosmetic skins, story DLC, and a section dedicated to missing Black Iron Prison parts to the game. from the base game, which lacks twelve additional death animations. Yes, we can find them here too, but thanks to the expansion of the research space, this part of the package seems to be more acceptable than the mentioned Contagion. On the one hand, one could give up on this and say that this is normal at the moment, but at least this is one of the cases that could develop into something very ugly in the future.

You never know what else can be charged in this way. There are so many options. However, it is possible that the new death animations in Callisto Protocol are based on the presence of enemies that we will not see in the main storyline. DLC creator Glen Schofield had this to say about the situation:To be clear, we’re not saving anything from the base game for the Season Pass. We haven’t even started working on this content yet. These are all new things we will be working on in the new year. The fans have been asking for more deaths, so that will be our priority next year.“
