Call of Duty on PlayStation still 10 years away, Microsoft proposal says

Hardly a week goes by that we don’t cover all the developments surrounding the acquisition of Activision-Blizzard by Microsoft. The purchase, which was announced back in January, has to be approved by a total of 16 government agencies, with only Saudi Arabia and Brazil so far. Key locations such as the United States, the UK and the European Union are still under consideration. Microsoft’s biggest problem, however, is its direct competitor, Sony. She is completely immersed in the dispute and argues that the acquisition could negatively affect the entire gaming market. But a week ago, Phil Spencer, head of Microsoft’s gaming division, said on a Verge magazine podcast that he was open to a deal with Sony. That his words are based on the truth has now also been confirmed by The New York Times.

The latter provided an extensive account of the entire acquisition, but while it’s pretty much just a rundown of events so far, there’s also one brand new piece of information – Microsoft was supposed to offer Sony on a convenient date of November 11 (Starfield’s initial release). date) that Call of Duty will be released on PlayStation consoles within the next 10 years. As big as the CoD brand is, 10 years seems like a generous offer, but Sony has apparently declined to comment.
