The dark darkness of the 41st century welcomes us in the first gameplay trailer for the upcoming cRPG Warhammer 40,000 Rogue Trader by OwlCat Games (authors of Pathfinder: Kingmaker). The press release describes the game as the first cRPG set in the legendary unrelenting darkness of the distant future, the world of Warhammer 40,000.
You take on the role of a Rogue Trader, descendant of an ancient dynasty of brave corsairs who rule their trading empire, and you will explore the edges of the Empire’s borders.
You will cover incredible distances on your giant ship and travel between many systems around the world. Space Koronus, a barely mapped and incredibly dangerous region of space. Although this area is considered a backward part of the Empire, it contains a huge void, full of great opportunities for profit and research, but also dangers.
It only depends on youwhether you treat your subordinates with mercy or contempt. Likewise, it is up to you to decide whether you will remain loyal to the Emperor or join the opposition faction.
