He created a virtual headset that can kill the wearer if they can’t play the game and die an unfortunate death. According to him, he was led to the creation of this work: “The idea of ​​connecting your real life with your virtual avatar has always fascinated me – you immediately raise the stakes to the maximum level and force people to radically rethink how they interact with the virtual world and the players in it … only the threat of serious consequences can make the game real for you and all other people in the game“

And how exactly will his brilliant invention kill you? On his blog, he wrote that he set up a virtual reality set that would explode on loss, automatically executing its user. The inspiration for Lucky was the anime Sword Art Online, where such a toy was available. He thought for a long time how to kill the user in case of failure. Finally he came up with the idea of ​​an explosive, the action of which he describes as follows: “When the corresponding endgame screen appears, the charges will detonate and instantly destroy the user’s brain.“

Oculus creator Meta Lucky is currently presenting his latest creation as a work of art, which is the first VR device capable of actually killing the user. However, according to him, it should not be the last, so it is possible that over time he will come up with another invention with which he will try to bring reality closer to games and vice versa.
