Free PvPvE survival shooter scavengers will not leave early access. Improbable Worlds Limited announced the end. The servers will be shut down on December 16 this year.. The reason is “players leaving”.
“We were silent for some time, for which we first of all want to apologize,” The post begins with the announcement of the closure of the game. “We have an update for Scavengers, but it is with a heavy heart that we share it. We have made the difficult decision to close the game on December 16, 2022. Over the past few months, the number of players has declined, and while we have explored many options to restore server numbers while the game is in Early Access, it has become clear that continued development and real-time operation cannot be sustainable.”
“For a while” is actually from March 2022 when the last game update came out. Looks like her end was planned. Earlier this year, Improbable Worlds Limited sold the Scavengers development team to Behavior Interactive.who created Dead by Daylight. In Improbable Worlds Limited, they wanted to focus on the meta, and Scavengers didn’t seem to fit into their plans.
Scavengers arrived in early access last spring. Steam reports that there were an average of 108 concurrent players this April, up from 34 players in October. It can no longer be downloaded on Steam, but is still available on the Epic Games Store.
