We have here the first gameplay footage from the development of the horror game with the Overdose codeproject not yet officially released Hideo Kojima and his studio Kojima Productions.
In the low-quality video, we see Overdose being played in third person as a heroine who appears to be modeled after actress Margaret Qualley, who already played the role of Mama in Death Stranding. A blue-clothed figure moves in a dark and ruined environment.
Looks like the main character being chased by some unidentified creature. Near the end of the video, she hides until a mysterious creature finds her, causing the heroine to scream, and the game ends with “GAMEOVER”, “Hideo Kojima’s game” and “OVERDOSAGE”. And, unfortunately, also the sight of a shirtless man filming everything from YouTube.
Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming has confirmed that the leaked footage is the same as the one he reported back in June of this year. At the time, Henderson wrote that he had seen Hideo Kojima’s new horror film. The images leaked yesterday appear to be from this very entry. They were published by ppe.pl server.
Kojima himself recently announced some interesting things. There are players in his new game bring something new.
